About Skrark Art

The people behind the pictures

The Skrark Art team

The Skrark Art team creates iconic, engaging, and expressive imagery, with a special emphasis on the endangered wildlife of Aotearoa New Zealand.

Skrark Art is a creative collaboration between photo-artist Judi Lapsley Miller and photographer Linton Miller, from Wellington, New Zealand. Both are passionate conservationists, dedicated to sharing their joy of wildlife and wild spaces with you. For more than two decades they have volunteered at Zealandia EcoSanctuary, providing support for kākā conservation, creating the annual fundraising calendar, and plenty more besides.

Why “Skrark Art”? A “skrark” is one of the calls a parrot makes to get attention — it even has its own emoji: :<>
